I was wondering in this website two years ago, playing games and viewing flash animations, when I entered to the Image section. In there, I'd found an amazing gallery of chalk paintings:

The artist is Julian Beever and has been working on these type of drawing for about ten years. He has worked in the U.K., Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, USA and Australia. This original kind of painting is very popular, and Beever is really a tourist catcher. The illusion this artwork creates is really amazing. I had never heard of or seen these types of drawings. I can imagine this art would be very popular, especially since they seem to be drawn in busy areas. It's helpful that you included a couple of links to more of Beever's artwork. Thanks for your post!
